Althea B. Johnson
Althea brings 30 years of experience as a nurse with the South Shore VNA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Simmons College and has managed a homecare agency during her career. In this role she displayed her strengths in effective decision making and a passion for people by providing quality care for patients and their families. Her compassion has carried over to her personal life as she has an adult daughter with special needs. Althea is an active member of the Friendship Home, a grass roots organization providing support and resources to special needs adults. Althea has two other children as well and was very involved in volunteering at their schools, being a representative for the Woodward School Parent Group. Althea's professional experience is as commendable as her personal life. She brings her compassion, creativity and leadership to the board.
